The Search

We all arrive on planet earth the same way, hungry!
Anxious to get our needs met.

Here on planet earth these needs are usually met by our parents.
At first being comforted, well fed and kept warm meets those needs.

As we grow older our needs increase and so do our desires.

At this point most of us look toward our environment (planet earth)
for different ways of getting these needs met.

As we look for different ways to make us happy,
content & prosperous, we search every nook and cranny.

Sometimes getting our needs met only to realize that particular 'find'
did not satisfy us and wasn't what we were looking for.

We have bought new homes, cars, jewelry and designer clothes.
We try drugs, sex, every religion known to man.

We visit the local fortune teller.
We find out what our "sign" is and pursue that lifestyle.

We learn that none of these worldly treasures
or material achievements satisfy us.

We continue the search!

We all know that carrier pigeons can find their way back
when released many miles from home.
These pigeons have a 'homing instinct'.
Carrier pigeons were used during the war to carry messages
back and forth, in and out of enemy territory.

In our search to get our needs met we are
constantly venturing into enemy territory.

Our Creator has given every man and woman
a homing instinct similar to that of the carrier pigeon.

This homing instinct gently guides us toward Him.

Some of us finally find what we have been searching for.
